Chris Alexander and Krista Hanson have been working together for the better part of the last 14 years, spending much time over many lunches talking about taxes and the economy. They instantly formed a strong working relationship from the first day.
In the economy today, the way we work, raise families and contribute to commerce is changing. From how we see a doctor to how we do business has changed radically in the last ten years. And in the next few years we’re going to see major changes to the tax code. Sure, the tax code will hopefully get simpler, but our lives are getting more complicated. Long gone are the days where one income is the normal; families today have multiple streams of income and navigating the tax code can be an added burden.
It’s now time that everyone have access to affordable & professional tax advice. Alexander Hanson, Inc. realizes that need and has made it their mission to make that available. Taxes do not have to be complicated, but who has time to learn the many ways you can use the tax code to build your wealth? That’s where we come in, we’ll study it for you – you personally and provide a guide to help you achieve your goals. It’s not going to stop at the tax return with a “see you next year” – this is a personal and protected place to build on your passions with a trusted tax advisor.

Krista’s life started out on the tiny island of Bougainville in Papua New Guinea, her California native parents happened to be there while her father worked as an accountant in the mining industry. That started her love of exploring new places and understanding different cultures around the world. Growing up in The Woodlands, Texas and Agoura Hills, California; Krista went to college in Maryland. Her grandfather, a career IRS agent, must have had something to do with her love of accounting, when in the 5th grade she declared with bubbling enthusiasm that she wanted to be a “Citizen’s” Public Accountant. She was always balancing her Alpha Omicron Pi sorority sister’s checkbooks and helping them budget for spring break trips. In 2003 her golden opportunity came when she moved to Denver, Colorado to work with the great people of Spicer Jeffries, LLP. She credits her friends there for allowing to her to get her start in the field that she loves. Starting as a bookkeeper, one of her most thrilling tasks was helping a client reclaim millions of dollars in lost stock, while working her way up and learning more about the tax code. In 2006, she had another opportunity to continue her training under her father-in-law, a tax attorney, and back to California she went. Now residing in Lake Balboa with her husband Matt, they continue to travel and enjoy life together with their two cats and family close by. Many weekends, you’ll find Krista and Matt at Silver Strand beach or on the golf course. Matt is a teacher at Birmingham Community Charter High School and together they enjoy the New England Patriots, white water rafting and skiing – exploring all the world has to offer!
Krista is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
